Communications and Trading (CAT) is a successful online retailer, selling consumer electronic products through their own web sites, Amazon and eBay. After a detailed consultation with them in Spring 2009 Pentagon Interactive won the contract to manage all of CAT’s sales on eBay. We implemented a brand new sales strategy over the summer months and the results have been fantastic.
We have increased sales by over 300% on their eBay shop telephonesonline compared to the same period a year earlier, when the shop was managed in-house. Moreover, for the first time in their history, telephonesonline is on the verge of attaining Titanium status, the highest level of accreditation for an eBay seller.
In addition to the success of TelephonesOnline, we advised CAT to sell through an additional shop on eBay, and to promote the environmental credentials of their business. The result was Greenboxshop, which we also manage on behalf of CAT. In the 3 summer months of 2009, this shop has posted impressive sales figures, and added another decent revenue stream to CAT’s business.
In August 2009, CAT posted sales of £170,000 on eBay, which was a 500% increase from the previous summer. If we keep this success going, we will have added another £1.5 million to their bottom line after the first year!
With plans to open more shops and with the busy Christmas selling season approaching, we are very excited about the future.
